Knifes can ruin lifes

Today I went on a bus to Merry Hill, quite a distance from Birmingham but nevertheless I had a good time. On the way there and back the bus was extremely crowded, hot and nosiy. So me and my friends all had to sit by ourselves next to some random person. This was fine but me being bored I had nothing to do but listen to other peoples conversations. Some interesting, some not however there was one about knifes. Yes, knives…
Two ‘hardcore gangsters’ were sat on the backseat of the bus when we got on, I found my seat and began to listen. They first began about different types on knifes and how their friend had a mashetti and that he was going to borrow it. The other kid then said that we should get off here, a friend of mine up the road sells some pretty good gear, all different types. Fancy coming to have a look? So off they got and I was thinking about what I just heard.
I had just witnessed a conversation infront of a packed bus, was I really the only one who had heard this? Well I don’t think so, but what is this world coming too when a conversation about knifes is just a everyday chat on the local bus? Ten years ago knife crime was hardly a drop in the ocean, these days its completely different. If people really are carrying them for protection then if no one carried one for protection they would not need protecting. Considering I live in Birmingham knife crime is more common here but none of my close friends carry knives so what is the need in them having too? It’s not just them, it’s everyone who carrys one, there is no point. People are dying because of their selfish and pathetic behavior.
Wow, I hear all different conversations in public places. From drugs to sex, but never have I heard of someone talking about knifes. I done a post before about how unsafe I feel walking around the streets of a night time - it’s terrible.
As soon as someone is caught with a knife they should be put into a cell for a month… that would then stop this pathetic crime!
Well said, though!
wow. That must have been so weird to hear a conversation about different types of knives, the only time i heard a conversation about knifes was in Woolworths when a couple were buying some for the kitchen!
It’s pathetic how some people think they need knives to “live on the street”. It’s cowardly aswell, if someone picks a fight with them, they dont have the vocabulary to argue back, so instead they just drive a knife into them.
